GREEN MUSTARD ENTERTAINMENT, INC. HAS ACQUIRED ANIME PDX & NEWCON PDX
The convention company, which has been supporting pop culture events since 2001, has acquired both events in the Portland, Oregon area.
(PORTLAND, OREGON, January 3, 2018) As of Wednesday, January 3, 2018, Green Mustard Entertainment, Inc. owns the name, logos, and intellectual property for the pop culture events Anime PDX and Newcon PDX – both based in Portland, Oregon.
Green Mustard Entertainment, Inc. started in 2001 as Wasabi Anime, an anime club in Central Florida. Since then, the company has designed and operated programming for pop culture events in California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, Ohio, Ontario, and Texas.
The company’s goal at this time is to retire the Newcon PDX name brand and combine the content and resources into Anime PDX. These plans are in the early development stages, but GME’s focus is to help maintain what Portland area fans have enjoyed about these two events while working to rebuild the integrity of Anime PDX within the local fandom community.
All Lifetime Memberships issues via the Anime PDX Kickstarter promotion will be acknowledged and accepted by the new ownership.
Future productions for the Newcon/Anime PDX brands will no longer be tied to or associated with Michael Anderson or Events PDX, LLC. All encumbrances and/or agreements on or prior to January 2, 2018 should be handled through Events PDX, LLC directly. The can be contacted via EventsPDXLLC@Gmail.com.
